Dab of oil

1 lb. Hamburger and 2lbs deer burger

1 Chopped onion

1 minced garlic clove

(if I have some green pepper in freezer I grab one slice and chop up to cook with onion but it is not necessary cause your salsa will have it in it too)

onion and garlic in oil then add burgers and brown.

add 1/2 pouch of McCormick’s original Chili seasoning (or whole pouch, according to how much meat your using, I make big batches so usually whole pouch)

add 1 can of tomato paste (Hunts)

Add 1 VERY Large Can (40 1/2 oz) of light Red Kidney Beans (Hanover Brand find it only at Krogers) _don’t add juice from beans

_Fill up large 40 oz can with water and pour into pot stir well and add 2 small (15.5 oz) cans of dark red Kidney Beans (drain the beans)

Add salt and pepper through out (I usually salt and pepper my beef and onions while browning and then after my sauce starts to come together I add more salt and pepper to taste) ad dash of chili pepper.. remember chili pepper was in the seasoning pack you had already added so be careful…

1/2 c to a jar of mild CHUNKY salsa (use the amount you like, and like I said earlier if your making a large batch use whole jar or more) .. I like mine chunky.. hubby don’t… (SAM’S CHOICE is what I use when I don’t have my own canned garden chunky salsa) One can of diced tomatoes (optional salsa has tomatoes and green peppers as well.. )

Add  about one tsp of Texas Pete hot sauce don’t really measure…  (use to your own taste)

Let SIMMER till beans and tomatoes are tender and green pepper from salsa has incorporated its taste throughout..
