QUICK & EASY WHITE CORNBREAD “HILLTOP MILL’S”


1 egg beaten

1 1/3 cup milk (I used buttermilk instead)

1/4 cup veg oil or shortening

2 cups Hilltop Mills Self Rising White Cornmeal Mix

heat oven to 450

Grease 9 inch square cast iron skillet with a tsp of bacon grease

put it in the hot oven and let the bacon grease melt

mix well the other ingredients.

add oil and buttermilk  (recipe called for milk, but I added buttermilk)


Pour battre in hot skillet

bake at 450 20 minutes.
