this recipe for the key lime pies come from a bottle of the juice that comes from key west fl
you use 4 oz of the fla. key lime juice 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 4 egg yolks
you mix the eggs and can of milk then add in the juice
pour into graham cracker crusts but I used regular pie crusts today
bake for about 10 mins at 350 degrees…
then I use the 4 egg whites and 4 tablespoons of sugar and the mixer to make the topping
get to beat up really high and stiff and add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla flav.
put on top of the pies and put back in the over at 350 for about 10 more mins..
watch closely till they are brown on top but be careful they will burn fast
I guess you can use any other lime juice but my friend sent me some key lime juice from fla.
