I usually bake my cookies 2 days before CHRISTmas but this year I started baking them yesterday and today. My question is Do I have to freeze them or will they keep fresh? I will be going to my daughters Friday.

    • Serena Adkins Ellison if you bake cookies early you should slightly underbake them and put them in a air tight container so that when you open them the cookies will be soft still…All my chocolates.. peanut butter balls, peppermint bark ect I keep in an airtight container in the fridge.. they keep very well. the cookies I have heard of people freezing them.. I never do so I can’t really comment on that… maybe you will get more comments on this and we can both find out more about freezing cookies.. =)

my friend freezes hers, she told me she uses the airtight type containers that youre talking about and layer wax paper in between the cookies and on the top. she said her cookies are always great. My mom always baked cookies a day or two before christmas and kept them in airtight containers and they alway stayed fresh for a while, although cookies dont last long hah

    • Cassandra Posey-Washington ANOTHER WAY,IF YOUR ABLE ,I WOULD MIX UP THE WHOLE BATTER,WRAP IT IN SARAN WRAP OR WAX PAPER,FREEZE THEM. WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR FRIEND OR FAMILIES HOUSE,SLICE THEM THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD DO,THE STORE BROUGHT COOKIE DOUGH. PUT THEM ON COOKIE SHEETS,POP THEM IN THE OVEN,NOW YOU HAVE FRESH MADE,HOME MADE COOKIES. THE HOUSE WILL SMELL LIKE HOMEMADE COOKIES. A SMELL,I’M SURE, THAT THEY WON’T MIND SMELLING. GOD BLESSINGS.

    • Serena Adkins Ellison I LOVE that Cassandra -) thank you for your tip

    • Serena Adkins Ellison LOL Yep Suzanne around my house they don’t last long enough for me to find out hardly either hahahaha
