Wes doesn’t mind the “effects”, but I do especially if their coming out of him!I was telling him last night about my post on the beans and he reminded me of two other stories which I will briefly share. Just remember that I got married not really knowing or caring about cooking. Maybe that’s why I was so skinny. I was only able to make macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Anyhoo…..I went to visit Wes when he was at WVU and I was so excited about making him a lovely breakfast. I slowly and carefully cooked bacon, made perfectly buttered toast and scrambled eggs. Everything was great except the scrambled eggs. I didn’t know that I was supposed to add a little milk and seasoning to the eggs and they came out like little pieces of pebbles. Guess I wasn’t supposed to cook them so long either.


The other story is a recipe that Wes cooked from a very popular and still published cookbook. The title was Pork Curry. All I remember is that it had cubed pork and apples in it and it had the consistency (I’m not kidding) of snot. Same color too! I wouldn’t recommend this recipe.
