For Valentines day i made my hubby crab wontons, egg rolls, teryiaki noodles , and sweet and sour chicken..

Sweet and Sour chicken (recipe from brown eyed baker)

chicken: 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into chunks

salt and pepper to taste

1 c cornstarch

2 eggs slightly beaten

1/4c canola or vegetable oil

Sauce:

3/4 c sugar

4 tbsp ketchup

1/2 c. vinegar (preferably rice or white)

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 325, Season chicken with salt and pepper. Working in 2 batches, toss pieces in cornstarch, coat with egg. Heat oil over med. heat and brown chicken turning so all sides are browned. Place chicken in single layer 9×13 baking dish. Whisk together sauce ingredients, pour evenly over chicken. Turn chicken to ensure each piece is coated. Bake 1 hour , turning chicken every 15 mins.
