MOM’S SPAGHETTI AND MEAT SAUCE

In a very  large & deep frying add a little  olive oil.. have you about 3 large cloves of garlic minced up, and a half of an onion minced small throw into the  hot oil and use wooden spoon to stir around, WATCH do not burn garlic or it will ruin the whole dish

as soon as you smell that garlic in the air, throw in your ground chuck, (about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs)  brown it but don’t stir it to death let it cook in larger chunks we don’t want pebbles we want MEAT,,,, drain off almost all of the grease leave about a Tbsp or so..

shake in salt and pepper WELL over meat. add HUNTS tomato sauce (the big can, it’s 15oz)  and the big tomato paste (12 oz) if all you have is the little cans of tomato paste use  two little tomato paste

save your cans, don’t throw away yet you will be using them to measure your water

fill up  the smaller can twice with water  and the big one once with water adding  to pan. stir well then add in grated parmesan cheese (don’t be stingy) and salt n pepper to taste bring to a boil reduce heat and let simmer for 30-40 min

add a little basil, about 1/2 tsp and about 1/4 tsp parsley flakes  and a handful of parmesan cheese

you should have a thick meaty sauce, I always taste it because I may need to add more of this or that… to achieve the right taste..

Boil Spaghetti  Noodles in pot until al dente with a drop of oil and salted water. before draining your pasta .. take about 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water and add to your pot to marry the flavors..

drain and while hot shake Grated Parmesan Cheese over top and toss into your sauce, Serve with garlic bread and salad
