Moms’ 7up Pound Cake

2 Sticks of oleo
1/3 C. Shortening
3 C. Sugar

1 7oz. bottle of 7up
1 tsp. lemon extract
3 C. Flour
5 eggs

Cream oleo, shortening and sugar. Add egg one at a time. Add lemon extract. Add flour alternately with 7up. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done.

Glaze with confectioner’s sugar, 7up and lemon juice if desired. Just mix and pour over cake while still warm.
