Since I have my recipe box out, I thought I’d post one of my Fam’s Fav’s also.
This is known as the Honey Bun Cake and its so simple
.
1 box yellow cake mix,
1 cup sour cream,
3/4 cup oil,
4 eggs beaten.
Mix & pour 1/2 batter into greased 9×13 pan.
Sprinkle with topping of 4 Tablespoons Cinnamon & 1 cup brown sugar.
Pour rest of batter over mixture in pan & bake @ 375 for 45 minutes.
While baking, make mixture of
1 cup powdered sugar
& 4 Tablespoons hot water,
with 1 teaspoon vanilla.
When cake is done, remove from oven and while its still hot, poke holes in cake with round end of wooden spoon or lots of big fork holes. Pour liquid sugar mixture over cake and let sit for @ 15 minutes – that is if you can keep the Fam away. 🙂
Great warm or cooled. Ours just rarely makes it to cool. Hope you love this as much as we all do
