RECIPE SUBMITTED BY PATRICIA STOVER from her personal Christmas Recipe Collection

  • Note from Patricia This is another great Christmas cookie. It makes a LOT and you can make however many you want and put the dough back in the fridge to make later.










1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 lb oleo
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups chopped nuts
3 slices green pineapple  cut in pieces
3 oz red pineapple
1/2 lb chopped dates
1/2 lb raisins
1/4 lb red cherries
1/4 lb green cherries

  • 4 cups sifted All Purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Take 2 T of flour mixture and sprinkle over candied fruit, nuts and raisins.
Cream together sugars, oleo, eggs and vanilla
add dry ingredients a little at a time , Pour over fruit and mix by hand
drop by tsp on cookie sheet

Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees
Substitute mixed fruit
12 oz pineapple + 8 oz cherries  = 20 oz of fruit  (1 1/4 lbs)
