Gingie’s Easy Sugar Cookies

2 sticks butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 egg
3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
Colores sprinkles and other decorations (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put butter into microwavable bowl and heat for 1 minute. Pour into mixing bowl. Add brown and white sugar and whisk until dissolved. Add egg and flour. Mix well. (My kids and I like to mix with our hands!) Pinch off small pieces and roll into ball with hands. Flatten cookies and place on baking sheet. Tip: Put sprinkles on before baking. They will stay on better.
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Cool completely before frosting. Fun fun fun with the kiddies!
