Okay so I burned my favorite little pot last night and I was wondering if there is a “solution” of some sort that will get this out without soaking and scrubbing for days?? This was part of my farberware that has lasted for years.

  • .
  • Thelma Benedict Bellows OH MY.. I have done that before too.. I have boiled mine with comet in it with just a small amount if water & then later scrub it & repeat till its gone.. I hope this helps..
  • James Randolph Oven cleaner
  • Thelma Benedict Bellows That does not ruin the pan James ??
  • Sheri Latulip Put a dryer sheet in warm water in pot let soak over night use same sheet to scrub.
  • Nancy Nyman Peplau I did the same thing recently and poured in some automatic dish washer detergent, soaked overnight and in the morning I was pretty surprised when the whole mess just floated off in one piece! Never had to scrub it a bit!
Johnnie Smith I will try the oven cleaner first since I have some on hand. Thanks for the help. BTW, I was sitting in the next room when this happened, but I guess my nose plugs were in because I didn’t smell anything until my fire slarm started twirping. SMH
  • Kim Evans I used oven cleaner on a stainless steel pot before
  • Johnnie Smith I just put oven cleaner in it so we will see. Lol
  • Margaret Jones Some times you can soak it with vinegar
  • Erika Knapp Hale Take a few fabric sheets and fill the pot with soapy water. Let soak 1 hour or overnight depending on the severity. I haven’t found anything a fabric sheet hasn’t scrubbed off yet.
Jeanette Scott try putting some vinegar and water and boil, alot of times that will loose a lot of burnt pans, have done it myself before.
  • Thelma Benedict Bellows WOW NANCY YOURS SOUNDS LIKE THE EASIEST & BEST.. TY..
Nancy Nyman Peplau Thelma, in 50 plus years of cooking and burning pots!!! I don’t know what made me do this….but it really shocked me, the results were fantastic, just rinse!
  • Serena Adkins Ellison I heard pouring a can of coke in it and putting it on to boil helps loosen the burnt on stuff
Johnnie Smith Actually so gar the oven cleaner is working. Halfway gone without a lot of scrubbing.
  • Cheryl Brisbin Hjort Try boling it with baking soda and vinegar, or dryer sheets and let soak over night.
The pot is back to brand new thanks to a combination of stuff. Oven cleaner, liquid comet, and then I boiled for a little bit with baking soda. Anyways it worked and thanks.
