My version of Panera Breads Famous Broccoli and Cheese Soup

In one pot I put a large bag of frozen broccoli in some boiling water

Get out another pot a taller one

I grate one carrot into my tall pot

chop up one celery stick super thin

1 small onion chopped small and added to pot

4 cloves of garlic minced and added to pot

1 stick of salted butter

add in garlic powder

black pepper

salt

Put onto stove and stir to sauté your veggies as butter melts

add in about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of flour and stir, turn down heat a bit, brown but dont burn

I now add in 1 quart of home canned chicken broth

and one cup heavy cream

stir well .. and add in another quart of chicken broth

I then add in the rest of my quart of heavy cream.

add in some Colby Jack Cheese

1/2 stick butter

and a nice chunk of Velveeta Melty Cheese

stir I always taste and add more seasonings at this point .. salt pepper garlic powder is all thats needed for this dish.

take your broccoli out with slotted spoon making sure no water is with it, and chop or use kitchen sheers to get it smaller.. and put into your soup.. give a stir and serve

I really really like this with cheesy melted garlic bread to dip in it.. Note the Little Ceasars Cheesy Garlic Bread is great with it or you can make some..
