BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES
3 pts cucumbers
2 cups sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 tbsp celery seed
1/4 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp Alum
1 tsp mustard seed (whole)
1 or 2 large sliced onions.
Slice cucumbers soak in salt overnight, drain in the morning
mix all together and let come to a boil
seal in jar
