TERRIFIC TURTLE CAKE
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 t vanilla, 1 c milk
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts
1 (14 oz) package caramels
In a sauce pan, melt caramels w/milk over low heat, stirring occasionally. Next, mix cake according to directions, add vanilla. Pour 1/2 of cake mix in a greased/floured 9×13″ pan. Bake 12 minutes at 350. When cake has baked for the 10 minutes, the caramel sauce is ready, pour it over the cake, Sprinkle chocolate chips & nuts on top, Pour remaining cake batter over sauce, Bake about 25-30 minutes more, until done.
