STRAWBERRY JAM USING POWDERED PECTIN

3 cups mashed strawberries

5 cups sugar

1 pkg powdered pectin

1 cup water

Add sugar to mashed strawberries mix well and allow to stand for 20 minutes with occasional stirring

Dissolve powdered pectin in the water, bring to a boil and boil 1 minute.

Add hot pectin to the fruit and sugar mixture and stir for 2 minutes. Pour over and let stand 24-48 hours or until jelled. Store in refrigerator or freezer.  Enjoy on warm biscuits.
