mmmmmmmm just cut into my baked apple dumpling … it is like having your own personal apple pie served up

Take 4 good sized “Winter Apples” Peel and core leaving whole.

then take out two pkgs of canned croissant dough you will have EXACTLY enough dough for 4 apples

one can has 4 sections you will take 2 sections and press edges together to make a blanket for your apple. If it sticks a bit just spread some flour on board lightly.

Next you will shake a mixture of cinn and white sugar over inside of blanket.. place apple in middle of blanket and shake cinn and sugar over top. Take a tab of butter and push into hole of apple where you removed the core.

then take 1 TBSP of Brown Sugar and place in/on hole of apple.

next you will take a Tsp of instant oats and sprinkle over apple…

Now start folding up apple blanket and seal edges with fingers…

proceed in same manner until all apples are covered.

Preheat oven to 350. Spray your cookwear lightly with nonstick .

Next take 2 egg whites and beat them with fork add in sugar and cinn…

brush your apple dumplings with the egg wash.. then place in cooking dish.

Bake your dumplings for about 35 minutes … hard to say cause every oven is different.. so WATCH THEM.. when they totally brown on top check to see if the ‘middle” where the dumplings meet are done… if not.. cover top with a sheet of aluminum foil as not to burn tops.. and bake some more… then take out let cool only slightly.. then eat hot by themselves or with vanilla ice cream.. it is like having individual apple pies on your plate.
