1 cup packed brown sugar

 

 

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup milk

16-ounce package (1 cup) semisweet chocolate pieces or 3/4 cup jelly 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

Cream brown sugar, peanut butter and butter together. 

Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Then add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing till blended.

Spoon a rounded tablespoonful of batter into greased muffin pans or paper bake cups in muffin pans.

Place 10 to 12 chocolate pieces or 2 teaspoons jelly in center of each spoonful of batter, then top with a second tablespoonful of batter. 

Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
