Fresh mixed berry dumpcake or in my case sorta cobbler lol house smells amazing


Mixed berry dumplecake;

I use the berries that are in season in this case

Golden rasberry 1 cup

Blackbery 1 cup

Blueberry 1cup

Wash and set aside

My cast iron skillet is my best friend lol so that is what I use , but this will work in a cake pan as well spray with cooking spray

In my skillet I add:

1/2 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Bring to boil melting sugar should be completely clear prior to adding berries

Add berries continue boil for about two minutes stir gentlely so berries do not burst

Allow to cool

Either continue with large skillet or place mix in cake pan

Sprinkle dry cake mix over berry mix do not stir in leave on top

Cut 1 stick of butter into cubes place evenly on top of cake mix

Bake at 350 for 20_25 mins untill brown
