MEAT POTATOES AND CHEESE – BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

1 can of Crescent Rolls

2 cups mild cheddar shredded cheese

Pound of Sausage  (can use bacon, hamburger, ham, or thinly sliced steak)

4 cups shredded hashbrowns

slice of onion

6 slices of swiss or provolone cheese (optional)

salt

Pepper

10 eggs

dash milk

 

so spray your 9×13 dish with bakers joy…. spread out your Crescent Rolls flat and pinch closed the seams

I used pork sausage.. I fried it up with a little salt pepper sage and a dash of taco seasoning.. Drain well… leave in pan till ready to use.

you can use frozen or homemade hash browns.. I just took 3 nice potatoes, peeled and shredded them in my processor as well as a slice of onion for flavor,

then I went ahead and browned them a little in my pan, adding salt and pepper and a small amount of oil.

Now just put together  your casserole

first add hash browns, next you will layer half of your meat add some shredded cheddar cheese

then layer your white cheese if you have it.. or leave it out.. no big deal

next add the rest of your meat

in a mixing bowl  whisk all your eggs with a small amount of  milk .. add salt and pepper and pour evenly over casserole

top with remaining cheddar cheese.

put into 350 degree oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

take out .. and enjoy
