How to make Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

You can use the colored or natural cones.. just make sure they have a flat bottom, not the waffle type

take a disposable aluminum pan and a marker.. (you could use one smaller than this one but this is what I had on hand)

draw a circle a bit bigger than the bottom of the cone

punch it out with knife.. I was in hurry and didn’t care if they looked perfect.. I just wanted to get them done, taking them to sunday school kids in the morning..

okay so you should be able to fit each cone in snugly, so that they do not move when baking

mix up any type of cake you like, homemade, box mix whatever… I got a rainbow mix here…

pour it in the cones.. (don’t make same mistake as I did and pour too much or they will overflow..hahaha) pour just a bit.. batter will rise to the occasion.

Now put in oven on cookie sheet at 350 for about 15-18 minutes you can tell…. you don’t want them overbaked… so watch them

Take out let cool and make your favorite icing.. ours is milk chocolate, If I were going for pretty I would put white on these or pink, but I am going for taste today… ahhahaha

Ok so before I frosted them I had to figure out how to transport them in the morning… I didn’t want them drying out or I would have just left them in the thing I baked them in… I wanted them covered air tight.. so I took the top foam piece  of a large egg crate

and I put it like so on my regular cup cake carrier…

then I took scissors and cut a + in the foam using my finger I pulled back the edges and slipped in the cone.. it worked ok, not awesome but good enough.. LOL

Now I frosted them.. again… I am in a hurry and I am tired.. kids don’t care as much as I do how they look anyway so I am just slopping this stuff on there fast as I can…

they are ready to cover up…

put your lid on and your good to go…

Here is what one looks like inside..

I have to admit they actually are pretty tasty.. my mom said she made these years ago… I saw this on pinterest and was telling her about it.. and she said oh that aint nuthin new girl… Hahahahhahaha!!!!!!
