How many times have you given away your squash or Zucchini or let it go to waste because you put off using it or simply had too many?

Well Fresh from the Garden is ALWAYS better I am not going to lie.. BUT!!!!!!

Did you know you could enjoy fried garden Squash in the dead of winter?

Here is how you can. Many say to BLANCH and freeze your squash and zucchini before freezing but it seems to make it soggy and they STICK together when you try and freeze them. SO here is what you do for great squash that won’t stick together that you can reach in and grab at ANY time, however many you want and just fry up… even for breakfast if you wish!!!

FIRST slice your squash or zucchini in the thickness you desire

NEXT you  dip in water and dredge in  a mixture of flour and cornmeal  and place them on a large cookie sheet.. careful  not to overlap too much)

NOTE: you do not have to do the dredging in four and cornmeal if you are not planning on using it for frying.. but you still have to freeze on cookie sheet first before bagging as for not to stick together… ‘ )

NEXT you will place IN the freezer just till frozen through..

NOW take out of the freezer once they are frozen solid

Now get you a Gallon Freezer bag and LABLE with date and Name of Vegetable.

Get air out of bag , lay flat and seal then store in Freezer until ready for use.

NOW you can reach in at ANYTIME and take out your squash to fry
