HERSHEY’S DEEP DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE

1 3/4 cup unsifted, al purpose flour

2 cups sugar

3/4 cups Hershey’s Cocoa

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup boiling water

Combine dry ingredients to large mixer bowl. Add eggs milk oil and vanilla. beat two minutes at medium speed.

Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin) Pour into greased and floured 9×13

bake at 350 35-40 minutes

Cool. Frost with Hershey’s One Bowl Buttercream Frosting from Hershey’s Can

6 tablespoons butter (softened)

13 cup Hershey’s cocoa

23 cups unsifted powdered sugar

1/3 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter or margarine in small mixer bowl.

Add cocoa and confectioners sugar alternately with milk; beat to spreading consistency (additional tablespoon milk may be needed)

Blend in vanilla.

makes 2 cups frosting
