Easy Cinnamon Rolls: I doubled the recipe and made giant cinnamon rolls, but the regular way is great also. This recipe uses frozen ready dough that you thaw and roll out as you would homemade dough…so, much faster if you have that cinnamon roll craving.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of ready dough, thawed (I used Ready Dough by Bridgford)

4 Tablespoons melted butter

½ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

¼ cup chopped nuts or raisins

Directions:

On a  lightly floured surface, roll dough out to a 10” x 12” cookie sheet or cutting board into a rectangle.  Spread dough with 2 tablespoons melted butter.  Mix sugar, nuts/raisins and cinnamon together.  Set aside 2 tablespoons sugar mixture for use later.  Sprinkle sugar mixture over dough.

Beginning with 12” side, roll dough tightly in a jelly-roll fashion.  Cut dough into 12 pieces.  Place pieces in a lightly-greases 13” x 9” cake pan or into a 12-cavity muffin pan.  Brush tops with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle remaining sugar mixture on top.

Let rolls rise until double in size.  (For breakfast, rolls can be assembled the evening before, then loosely covered with plastic wrap and placed in the refrigerator to rise over night).

Bake in a 350F oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.  Turn out of pan immediately to cool on a wire rack.  Brush with remaining melted butter.  Ice cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing while rolls are still warm.
