FLORIDA FILLED COOKIES
Dough
2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup lard melted (no sub)
1 tsp soda disolved in 2 tbsp sour milk
pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
mix sugar eggs vanilla melted lard soda and sour milk. add dry ingredients mix well.
let set in refrigerator 2 hours.
Filling
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp flor
1 box dates cut in small pieces
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup chopped meats
cook and let cool
roll dough real thin cut with biscuit cutter. place small amount of filling on one and place another piece on top. place on cookie sheet. bake at 325 until brown.
