This recipe of my Father in Law’s  is for  REAL Jerky.  The old time thick strips of  Meat Jerky

Donald’s Deer Jerky

 

2-3 lbs sliced meat

1 Tbsp salt

1 tsp onion salt

1 tsp garlic salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp white pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper

1/2 tsp meat tenderizer

1 tsp kitchen bouquet

1 tsp celery salt

1/3 c soy sauce

1/3 cup liquid smoke

1/3 cup BBQ Sauce

1/3 cup water

 

Mix all ingredients. Marinate meat for 24 hours in covered container. Stir at least once dry in oven by hanging on highest rack with toothpicks .. can dry in dehydrator too.. but prefer oven..
