So I normally season my own pork loins,

but with the way meat prices are lately, when I saw one for sale at the grocery store that was marked down I went ahead and took it even though it was pre seasoned with what I knew my hubby wouldn’t really enjoy even though I probaly would haha (it was hot jalapeno) .. I figured I could work with it and make something we all would like.. Well it was a good call.

I cooked it from frozen state in my crock pot with a tiny amount of water (like 1/3 cup) the night before I was to serve it. A lot of hot seasonings came out as it cooked. I let it cool and stored it in an air tight container until the next day.. then placed it back into my cleaned crock pot with two cups of chicken stock with sliced mushrooms and let it go on low until it was heated through completely as I fried potatoes and made a dessert and broccoli side dish… .. the pork loin was great.. it was moist, not overbearing, but still had a nice hint of the previous flavorings just toned down considerably.

Point is, don’t be afraid to try new things. We all will be adjusting our pallets during this crazy economy. Grab a deal when you see one even if it isnt something you would normally buy. You can always put your own spin on it.
