RECIPE SUBMITTED BY Joyce Mitar Morgan

Chicken Paprika

…brown up the cut up chicken, after the chicken browns, add the onions, paprika, and celery, soften, when soft, add some good chicken stock to cover the chicken by about an inch or so, simmer until the chicken is tender, then add half and half to the mixture, make sure the heat of your range is low, then take some milk and cornstarch and make a slurry of it, add to the chicken mixture, and simmer slowly. Make sure you salt and pepper to taste while the chicken in cooking.

This makes a nice creamy gravy, and serve over noodles, I usually cut the cooked chicken into cubes and add with the sauce and noodles.

I make Spaetzels ( dough dumplings) to use, but nice fat noodles will be nice to use!!
