BEEFY CORNBREAD & GRAVY CASSEROLE

In a cast iron 10 inch skillet, brown 1-2 lbs of ground chuck hamburger meat. Salt and Pepper.

Push the burger to one side of the skillet and add in a tab of butter the size of an egg roughly.

Add in 2 or 3 Tbsp Flour and work it into your melting butter and hamburger grease. Let it brown a little to get the flour taste out of it. Salt and pepper well.. it should smell nutty when you smell that you can go ahead and add 1 cup of regular sweet milk

Stir. Add in 1 can of beef consume or you can add water with a beef bouillon cube.

Let it bubble and thicken as you stir. turn off heat. At this point you can choose to leave it in your skillet or pour it into a heavy 9×13.. today I am going to use the 9×13 cause it seems to stretch the portions more.. (I send half of my meals to my mom and oldest son)

Next take some homestyle potato hash browns and pour over top.. no need to measure. then some cheddar cheese shredded.. again no need to measure.

I have my homemade Sweet Southern Cornbread already mixed up and I just pour it over top.

put into a 400 degree oven and bake for about 30 minutes. (watch it) Take out and let rest before cutting.

Serve up with some good ham and potato green beans or fried squash and that is an easy and comforting meal!
