Beef shunk (beef bulalo) 

1 kg beef shank,

3 pcs onions,

2 pcs corn cobs,

1 stalk spring onions or leek,

1 tbsp black peppercorns,

1 tbsp salt, cabbage, potato (optional),

enough water to cover meat in pot 

PROCEDURE:

Place beef shank in a large pot.

Cover with water.

Set over high heat and bring to a boil, as the bubbles increase lower the heat then simmer for two hours (for more savory broth) or until beef is tender. Add quartered onions, garlic, peppercorns and slice corn cobs.

Boil again and then season with salt and put onion leeks.

Serve hot.
