Basmati RiceYou can usually find this in most grocery stores, but buy it from an Indian Grocer if you can, it will be MUCH cheaper, as will all the spices I use for my recipes.

2 Cups (for 3-4 people) Basmati Rice

3-3/4 water

In large bowl, add rice and wash with cold water. Use your hand to swish it around. Repeat this several times until the water is no longer white. This is to prevent the rice sticking when it is cooked. Allow it to soak in the cold water for about an hour. In medium to large pot, boil water while covered with lid. When boiling, add rice and allow to boil, covered, until done. Watch your pot carefully, as the rice tends to boil over.
