QUICK APPLE PIE CASSEROLE

This is basically the same way I make fresh apple pies, only I like to make this long like a cobbler, and I use apples that I have sliced and frozen in gallon or half gallon baggies in my freezer.

I use a 9×13 Le Crusset Cast Iron Enameled Baking dish.

I sometimes make my own pie crust and sometimes I buy it.. today I bought it but if you want to make your own pie crust I have several recipes with pictures and instructions on here for you.

I bought two of the 2 rolls of pie pastry dough and I only used 3 rolls.  (You can use the leftover for another dish that week or make some little mini pies in a muffin tin)

Start out by letting your frozen apple slices thaw

put them in a good size Medium to Large pot and drain off extra water.. next turn on heat and start to cook the apples down..
