ANTIQUE BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 

2 cups brown sugar

3 tbsp butter

2 Tbsp milk

Add to skillet and cook over medium heat  while stirring, Boil until comes to a wax (drips from spoon)

Combine

3 Tbsp Flour or Cornstarch 

3  egg yolks

1 cup water

1 cup milk

(vanilla wasn’t in the original recipe but it was probably because they didn’t have it, so I am adding tsp vanilla) 

Stir in brown sugar, butter and milk milxture, and continue cooking until comes to  wax, pour into cooked pie shell

 

Use your egg whites to make a Meringue, beat your egg whites till stiffens. Add  sugar and continue beating until the whites are stiff and hold peaks. Spread the meringue on top of the pie, broil top under broiler till browns ,, dont burn
