A LETTER FROM JESUS
Don’t tell me you love me
and then never come around
Don’t tell me your my child
then shame me all over town
Don’t come visit me
but once or twice a year
Then expect me to be there
to wipe away every tear
Those rare times you call me
seem to always be about you
Asking for help
or telling me what I should do
I am writing you this letter
because you don’t seem to see my hurt
You see it is MY BIRTHDAY
and your wearing a Santa shirt
Your having a great big party
with presents and lights all around
But everywhere I look
my name can not be found
You even forgot to send me
and invitation this year
You see each year I have noticed
one more thing disappears
Joy to the world
or Silent Night?
No.. instead it is up on the rooftop
and reigndeer’s noses so bright
Well I tell you
what really takes the cake
X instead of CHRIST
Yes… that was more than I could take
Fill your stockings
And trim your trees
But don’t leave me out
I beg of you please..
