Favorite date nut pound cake
1 pound of butter
2 cups of sugar
6 eggs
1 1oz bottle lemon extract
4 c self rising flour divided
1 pound chopped dates
1 pound (4c.) Pecans & walnuts chopped fine
Cream butter well add sugar and continue beating till smooth and fluffy add eggs one at a time beating well add flavoring sprinkle 1 c flour over dates and nuts add 3 c flour to creamy mixture mix well spoon into well greased tube pan bake 300 fir 2hrs and remove
