This is a recipe for a very simple cheese ball…that looks and tastes like you spent time and money on it…: ).

Cheese Ball

2 8 oz packs of cream cheese
1/2 a medium white onion (minced)
green onions (this is optional how many you use, I use about 5 stalks out of a pack)
dash of garlic powder (not garlic salt)
2 oz pack pecan pieces ( I buy Fishers)
Salt to taste

Soften cream cheese, mince onions, chop green onions, mix all together…spinkle dash of garlic powder and salt, finish mixing. I stretch out a length of plastic wrap, drop cheese mixture on it and wrap it up and form into a ball, open plastic wrap, pour the pecans onto plastic wrap…you can use a clean piece if you perfer…then roll cheese ball around on crushed pecans until ball is covered…wrap back up in plastic wrap and store in fridge until ready to serve…I have gotten many compliments on this cheese ball…enjoy!

  • Dawn Hughes-Weber You may want to cut back a little on the white onion to your taste preference.

  • Michelle Bolt Riffe I have one similar to that only you use dried beef that you buy in the jar and no pecan pieces and you can add 1tsp or two of worchestire sauce and after you shape it you roll it in shredded cheese. this recipe sounds grear too..
