SWEET PINEAPPLE BAKED HAM

I used a Tavern Ham, full size that was fully cooked.

I am sorry but I have a hard time giving people directions on how I make my hams cause I don’t measure when I make them… I always do them different ways.. but I will tell you what I used and you can get the jist of it

.I took my  fully thawed ham , scored the top with a knife on the diagonal then score it the opposite and put it in a 350 degree oven on bake with a little water in the bottom of pan and put aluminum foil over top and stuck it in the oven bake it at least an hour to 35 minutes before   pouring over the first  sweet concoction

get out TWO separate sauce pans:

in one I made the mixture same as I would for a candied ham

  • brown sugar at least a cup to two cups
  • white sugar
  • butter
  • tiny bit of dijon mustard
  • pure honey
  • I added some corn syrup and let it boil watch and don’t scorch it

Pour over top of ham once the mixture boils to a thick mixture

careful not to burn yourself take plain brown sugar and pat it over top the ham..

close oven and make your other sauce

in your other saucepan:

  • pour one whole can of pineapple chunks with juice
  • add white sugar
  • corn syrup
  • pure honey
  • and let it boil then add some brown sugar

now pour this over top ham and do the brown sugar pat again… try to get some of the pineapples positioned on top of ham using tongs.. and put oven on to broil.. let top of ham get brown.. but not BURNT..

take out let rest

Take ham and slice it, then POUR your sweet pineapple concoction over top the yummy baked ham

Put lid on ham so it won’t dry out until serving.. THis is a good ham to make if you need it for the next day.. because the ham will be marinating in the sweet concoction and will be so good if not better the next day.
