RECIPE AND PHOTOS SUBMITTED BY Mark Mckinney
SASSAFRAS TEA
Dug up several roots today!! Hard Work!! lol

Fresh from the Ozark Mountains!!

I’m new at this but i just done it like i do regular tea. I like it sweet so i added 2 cups of sugar to a one gallon container. I did strain mine after i boiled for maybe 20 minutes. I cleaned the Root really good of all dirt and cut some into and split some of the bigger root. I would say this is more of an experimental recipe until i get it just how i like it but it was really good like this and can i say the house smells so wonderful!! Some of the old timers may be able to tell us how they did it!!
