Okay, here goes. Pork Round Loin Roast.
I seasoned overnight with seasonings of ground pepper. garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, cut some green onions, green peppers, celery, and garlic cloves.
Wrapped it up for the night.
This morning I browned both sides of the roast in a skillet and then put it into my (New) slow cooker w/potatoes, cut apples, celery, onions, green peppers, and onions.
I cooked on high for about an 1 1/2 hour took the roast out and coated it with flour and rebrowned in the skillet w/a abt tablespoon of “used” oil.
Took the potatoes and veggies out, set aside.
I poured the juice from loin in a pan with the drippings from rebrowning the roast.
Mixed them up together. I asome Worchesture sauce to it. Put some fresh potatoes and veggies on the bottom of slow cooker, added the roast, added the already partially cooked potatoes and apples on top. Poured the juice over all of it.
I then cooked on high for about another hour, and then turned it to low.
For veggies on the side, I cooked some cabbage. I had no meat for it so, when I added a few bacon bits on the bottom, a lil oil, green peppers and onions. It will tent your cabbage to reddish color, but it will still be good.
BTW, the Loin turned out to be so tender and Wonderful.
I don’t eat a lot of Pork….but I will definitely be doing this one again in the future.
I just finished a plate and it was very tasty. 4 lbs roast cooked for about 3 hours total in the crock pot…real moist, but I might cut it back just a little next time b/c I think that its going to dry out on me.
