POCKETBOOK BISCUITS

Preheat oven to 425

2 cups flour

1 tsp salt

3 tsp baking powder

1/3 c Wesson oil

2/3 c milk

sift together flour, baking powder, salt

Pour into measuring cup oil & milk but don’t stir

pour the oil and milk into sifted mixture

stir mixture with fork until mixture cleans side of the bowl and rounds into a ball.

Press out 1/4 inch thick and roll out on waxed paper.

cut dough 3 inch round with unfloured biscuit cutter.

Fold over and place 1/2 tsp jelly in center before folding then press edges together.

bake 10-12 min on uncreased cookie sheet in oven at 475 brush with butter
