  • Tammy Vaughn I have a couple of questions…In the recipe is that baking soda and cinn 1 tsp. and the next question is do you wait for the cake to cool before you pour the sauce on top of the cake

Gona have to show this one to my Mom. I think we have everything in the kitchen to make this and it really sounds good. She has been wanting to make a cake for a few days now and just keeps putting it off til she “feels” better. But, I think this is just the thing she needs to get her motivated!

Looks so moist, and I’m sure delicious!
  • Serena Adkins EllisonTammy it is cinnamon.. and baking soda… and Mom said it is already a very moist cake so NO you wait until the cake has cooled some before putting the sauce over or it may fall apart she said ..make your sauce while your cake is baking.. then the idea is to let the cake cool.. cause it is a VERY moist cake.. (at least is should be) then put on the likes the cake plain too …. but usually the kids can’t wait and we go ahead and pour the sauce on and eat it warm cause we don’t care if it looks pretty and caves in (like the pic above) but if your taking somewhere like to church you should wait till cools and then put on sauce.. make sure you taste your sauce and it is sweet enough. I sometimes after cake is cook cut the cake in half and put some in the middle of cake and over top as well
