MILKY WAY WONDER CAKE
6 Milky Way Bars
1 c butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 c buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped pecans (optional – then it would be a SNICKERS CAKE)
Preheat to 350
Melt Milky Way bars and 1/2 c butter in saucepan over low heat
cream remaining butter and sugar till fluffy
add eggs one at a time
add flour and soda alternately with buttermilk
stir till smooth
add melted candy bars and mix well
add vanilla and nuts if using. (for SNICKERS CAKE instead of Milky Way)
Bake in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan 1 hour 20 minutes remove and frost
CHOCOLATE BUTTER FROSTING
6 tbsp butter
approxamatly 4 3/4 c. confectionary sugar
1/4 c cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Cream butter gradually add about half the sugar blend well and beat in1 egg with the vanilla. gradually blend in remaining sugar , add enough cream to make it spread easier. Add 2 1oz squares of unsweetened chocolate melted and cooled in vanilla .. sprinkle nuts on top of cake
