Italian Peppers
Green and Red Bell Peppers
Hot Banana Peppers
Onions  chopped
Garlic  minced
Tomato Sauce  unseasoned
Salt
Parsley
Oregano
Basil
Oil

Wash and clean peppers and cut into strips
Heat oil and add onions and garlic
Place peppers in a shallow pan and sprinkle with salt and oregano,parsley and basil
Add to the hot oil and cook stirring often until peppers just  start to get tender
Transfer peppers form the oil mixture to a kettle with the tomato sauce and bring to a boil
stirring often until the peppers are just a little more tender
Place peppers in heated jars and cover with sauce leaving 1″ headspace
Add lids and rings and tighten
You may add some of the oil mixture to the sauce for more flavor and add some of the hot pepper seeds for a hotter sauce.

Place jars in water bath for 15 minutes for pints.
