Sometimes you get some sweet corn that looks beautiful but you can tell it has that faint sour smell to it that lets you know it soon will turn and you will have to throw it out ..
BUT you can save it if it has just started .. here is how
Take the husks off your corn clean them real good put them in a stock pot ..fill with tap water and a 1/2 cup of white sugar. Put a saucer or a bowl on top of the corn to keep it submerged in the sugar water and just let it sit overnight.
Drain off the water and take a serrated knife cut the kernels of your cob right into your cast iron skillet.
add a whole stick of real butter and salt your corn well.
Add 1/4 cup of sugar as you fry it, and add another 1/4 cup of sugar as needed.
Add a pinch of pepper and serve hot.
