HOMEMADE OATMEAL ICED COOKIES

2 cups rolled oats

2 cups all purpose flour

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 cup softened room temp butter

1 c brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

Glaze

2 cups powdered sugar

3 Tbsp milk

Preheat oven to 350

grease 2 baking sheets

in food processor pulse oats for ten seconds

in stand mixer , cream together butter and both sugars

add in eggs and vanilla. Add in flour, salt, b powder, b soda.

Roll dough into 2 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.

bake 10-12 minutes and let cool about 10 minutes

Icing

Mix Confectionary Sugar and Milk dip tops of hardened cookies into icing place on wire rack that is over top of another sheet pan to catch drippings. let icing harden.. then you can pack and store in tin. Enjoy.
