Debby’s Grandmothers Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake
** Don’t let the name fool you
P.S. Sssshhhh!!! The Mayo is simply a substitute for the eggs
Mix: 2 c flour
1 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp cocoa
Add
1 cup cold water
1 cup mayo
1 tsp vanilla
bake in greased pan for approx 25 min at 350
Frosting:
1 c sugar
1/4 c cocoa
1/4 c milk
1/4 stick butter.
Cook over med heat in saucer stirring constantly. Don’t leave.
Stir until mix heats to a slow boil, let cook for 1 min after boil.
Remove from heat still stirring add 1 tsp vanilla.
Continue to stir to thicken.
