CHOCOLATE APPLESAUCE CAKE
2 1/2 cups applesauce
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
4 scant teaspoons soda stirred in fruit while hot
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
2 tsp allspice
1 cup cocoa
4 cups flour
2 cups raisins and nuts or citron can be added if desired.
bake at 325 for about 1 1/2 hours
