CANNED COOKED CINNAMON APPLES

Here I am using Wolf River Apples

 

cut them up and put them into a large pot with a tab of butter

add a very small amount of water.. and stir.. you can always add more water if needed..

once start to cook down, you add a good amount of sugar and some cinnamon. a pinch of salt some people add a tbsp of lemon juice..  can if you want .stir in well

Apples should be tender but still have a nice bite..with a nice cinnamon sauce.. taste it .. if good your ready

 

Have clean sterile Quart jars ready with funnel. Ladle in the applesauce carefully and wipe rim clean add lid

Put in water bath canner for 20 minutes boiling. Or 5 lbs pressure for 8  minutes Keep in cool dark place (like basement)
