EGGNOG BARS WITH GLAZE
2c. sugar 1 c. powdered sugar
2/3 c. butter 1/4 tsp vanilla
2 eggs 1-2 tbs. eggnog
1tsp. vanilla
2c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped nuts
1) line a 13×9 pan with foil, then grease the foil
2) IN a medium pot, over medium heat, cook sugar and butter stirring until butter is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly
3) stir eggs & vanilla into sugar mixture
4) add flour, baking powder& nutmeg. stir together and then add nuts
5) spread dough into the prepared pan, and bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes, or until the edges begin to pull away
6) cool in the pan and elevate on wire rack then cut into bars when cooled.
7) in a small bowl mix together the powered sugar, vanilla and eggnog. adding the eggnog slowly until you get a piping consistency. Then spread over the bars
