BANANA BREAD PUDDING
BANANA BREAD PUDDING
9×13 baking dish
Spray with bakers joy or butter it
You can use French Bread or Brioche but
I just tear up a whole bag of Sunny Bun Hamburger buns
Place large torn bread chunks in baking dish evenly
Sprinkle good amount of cinnamon and sugar over
And sprinkle a little allspice .. not much.
Next in a mixing bowl add about 1/2 cup brown sugar
And 2 cups white sugar
5 eggs, cup of milk and a little cinnamon
Mix with whisk well
Add 2 sliced bananas randomly over bread
Pour egg mixture over bread and bananas evenly.
I then pour milk over the parts that aren’t “wet”
Not too much just make sure all bread is moist
Bake at 350 for an hour
Make Buttermilk Bourbon Sauce on stovetop
By adding 1/2 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 drop of Jim Beam
Bring to boil
and pour over hot bread pudding
Let bread pudding sit 10 minutes or more to soak in and set up before eating or your gonna have a wet mess
It totally changes texture after setting up
Serve warm or room temp with ice cream
